Job Summary

Our client is seeking a motivated self-starter to provide senior paralegal support to a legal department serving various North American businesses. The candidate will report to the Associate General Counsel in North America and coordinate directly with other offices in North America and around the world, as well as with outside counsel.

Essential Job Responsibilities
Provide Compliance support for all North American company entities including the primary responsibility for all Compliance reporting requirements, training, and projects in North America. Lead corporate compliance meetings, trainings and policy initiatives, and work with global Compliance teams to ensure timely and effective support.
Provide timely and succinct data analyses and reports.
Provide litigation support to staff counsel. Provide support for other types of legal matters including, but not limited to, responding to subpoenas, garnishments, and administrative requests.
Assist in preparation of presentations, training programs and other similar type projects. Provide general office administrative support, including management of file rooms and storage.
Other duties or projects as assigned.

Education / Qualifications / Experience Requirements
Incumbent must possess a minimum of 6 years' related experience, including previous in-house experience.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Paralegal certification or degree required.
Experience with business litigation and corporate compliance required.
Previous experience with Corporate Compliance desired.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Excellent organization skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and legal research.
Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to take initiative and multi-task in a demanding, deadline-drive environment with strong follow-up.
Willingness to help with ad hoc projects, contribute to process improvements and back-up colleagues to help meet deadline during busy periods.
